CLAIMS TOP 10 SPA RETREAT AWARD
There is no better recognition of the quality of service than an award and it
was bestowed to family owned Aldemar, at the Condé Nast Traveller Readers’ Spa
Awards 2008. The Thalasso Spa at the Aldemar Royal Mare Village on Crete
came 4th in the top 10 Overseas Spa Retreats category. Readers voted on various
elements including the accommodation, amenities, products, body and face
treatments, the cuisine, exercise programme, facilities and individual approach
as well as the staff and service. The Thalasso Spa scored 93.38 out of a
possible 100.
ALDEMAR’S END OF YEAR HAT TRICK
On the 12 December 2007 at the 14th annual World Travel Awards held in Turks
& Caicos, Aldemar picked up two more awards. The World’s leading Thalasso & Spa
was awarded to Aldemar’s Royal Mare & Thalasso in Crete and the World’s
Leading Spa Resort to the Aldemar Royal Olympian Spa &Thalasso in the West
Peloponnese.
More than 167,000 travel agencies and professionals in over 200 countries
worldwide voted for the winners, these range from leading travel destinations,
airlines, hotels and companies around the world.
Aldemar are proud of the many awards their spas have attracted, including these
three World Awards ahead of competition from spas all round the globe. As an
independent hotel chain, they are keen to be at the forefront of wellbeing
escapes. They feel that this is also a powerful combination to their CSR
programme, a continued commitment to providing sustainable and quality tourism
to Greece.
